Thoughs from June

June was a month that focused mainly on my work, my wellness and my studies. I started a new course at Wharton, which prompted an experiment into a new study routine and technique. This month was the last whole month before I head off and switch off for my 4,5 week summer holiday, which prompted me to think about how I want my last weeks in July to feel and be, before I go on my holiday. To ensure I structure my days accordingly so I can go on holiday already relaxed and not in a stressed-out state.Ā

Books Read: 4Ā Ā

I got back into my Daisy Darymple project, which entails my reading all the Daisy Darymple mysteries. It’s something that I enjoy disappearing into, as it’s both relaxing and educational at the same time.Ā

Courses:

I started AI fundamentals for non-data scientists at Wharton. I’ve done and still do a lot of self-studying within AI, as it’s a must with the pace of change at the moment. However, I want to get a certification to show that I know the fundamental building blocks of AI. And it’s fun and engaging, and with Jim Kwicks’ book in mind, I’m trying a few new study techniques.Ā Ā

Wellness

I’ve doubled down on my walking to help rehabilitate my knees. Morning and evening walks. When I’m not in the studio doing hot yoga or pilates.Ā

This month, I caught the Inferno Pilates bug. It’s both fun and highly challenging. And since Sweden has a green winter and calls it ā€œsummerā€, I have to spend time in the hot room to survive.Ā

Breathwork breaks during my workdays have been a game-changer, as well as regular pressotherapy combined with red light. It’s part of my protocol for healing my knees and reducing inflammation in my body.Ā

Supplements:

Urolithin-A: I haven’t noticed anything yet. I still have a few months to go.Ā

Saffron: I’ve added Saffron to my supplement stack in the evening, and I’ve slept like a baby during the night, even when I’ve had PMS, which always comes with a few days of hardly any sleep at all until my period arrives. This is a game-changer, and even though it’s pricey, I’m keeping it because of the immense benefits.Ā

L-lysine: I noticed that I was not feeling myself, and I recently swapped brands for my L-lysine and noticed to my horror that instead of taking one pill per day, I had to take 2-3, to get the equivalent dose of the previous brand I was using. I suspect this has something to do with me not feeling myself. I’ve adjusted the dosage to review if I feel a difference, but suffice to say, I’m going back to my old brand of choice after I’ve run out of this brand.Ā

PodcastĀ

Ā

tony_robbins_podcastThe saved podcast from this month is another Tony Robbins podcast, featuring Sister Shivani. Stop Searching for Happiness – Start Creating It with Sister Shivani offers a fresh perspective on happiness, which I found helpful. This episode is in my saved list to revisit with a notepad and pen in hand.Ā
